What is a PET CT Scan & Why is it Critical?
A Positron Emission Tomography – Computed Tomography (PET-CT) scan is the most advanced molecular diagnostic
tool available today for oncological, neurological, and cardiological evaluation.
While standard CT or MRI scans only show anatomical changes or physical tumor mass, a PET-CT scan tracks
glucose metabolic activity using safe radiotracers. Because cancer cells consume glucose at a much higher rate
